Computer (CAD) drawings of the Plats

Post by Developer »

Hi Everyone,

Just a note about the Plats--

I have drawn all the Plats in CAD. I did this to make it easier to find corners on my lots, and it is a big help.

If you'd like to have some of these files let me know. If there's a big demand I may post them here, otherwise I probably won't. They are in .dxf format, and unless you use CAD they will be useless to you.

Most people like to know where their corners are located. I've spent a few weeks, each of the past two summers, marking lot corners with my son. I've had more than a few people stop me and ask if we were surveyors, and if we'd mark THEIR corners. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to do this for others.

What I can do is help you to help yourself. Instead of paying hundreds of dollars to a surveyor, you can usually find the corners yourself, a whole lot easier than you may think. Especially if you have the use of my computer drawings, you won't need any special tools other than a measuring tape.

I was just thinking of posting a tutorial here, to show you the easiest way to do it. I'll take the time to do that if enough people are interested. Just let me know.
